Constituting Students’ Union is one of our healthy practices. Chairman and Secretary are elected by the students whereas the Secretaries of various associations and forums are nominated by the Co-ordinator of the respective forums.

Main objectives are:

• Grooming leadership quality among students
• Representing the demands/grievances of the students
• Promoting participation in Governance.

The Practice

Representation of the students is encouraged in IQAC and Library Advisory committee.

Students’ demands like Cultural day celebrations, changing the working time of the College have been accomplished.

Union election is conducted regularly adhering to the recommendation framed by the Lyngdoh Committee on Students’ Elections in Colleges, 2006. Election Process and Newly elected Chairman and Secretary are promptly reported to University.

• Selvi. A .Siva Sankari, III B.Sc., Physics is the Union Secretary.
